Elements of Hope and Pain

DSC_0098

Life’s vigorous waves keep crashing into me.
I’m trying to stay as calm as I can be.
Emotionless and dim.
I look out into the far sea.
And see a glimpse of a light beam.
That’s when I know.
There’s still a lot of time for me to grow.
So, I’m going to get up from here.
Start to run and cheer.
Because, something better is always waiting.
I just have to make an effort to go chase it.

  2. I believe we can be both lost and hopeful at the same time. Your hopefulness always shows, and it’s clear you see it allows us to love life. I’ve been reading someone else’s poetry, too, and his seems so hopeless that his lost-ness is all he has. I was thinking of people who feel that way when I said, “I wish…” ❤
