Pick Yourself Up, And Shut Up

Put yourself on the line.
If you fail,
how would it hurt?
You’ve been feeling pain,
since the very start.
It’s time to believe,
that you could finally relieve.
That you can free,
the pain in one’s own mind.

  1. I can so relate – kinda. When someone won’t risk for you, won’t put it out there and step into the light, it’s time to let it go as much as that hurts. And then you have to pick yourself and shut up (as a wise man once said). Hope you find your peace (and me too…).

    • Also, I think it is brave of you to risk. When one doesn’t take the risk there is no reward. And you have made her feel something even if the end isn’t what you hoped. On the other side when no one ever risks for you, it feels like you never mean enough to anyone and aren’t worth the risk. And I will warn you the “letting go” feels a lot more like your heart being ripped into two and your world is crashing down. Wow, sorry. This one just unleashed some stuff in me.

  2. I like this one a lot. All that we are ends and begins in the mind. I must say, don’t shut up. People need to hear it all–even the messy bits! There’s much healing when your pain is met with empathy.
