It’s Pathetic to Think That Only Someone Else Could

I’m losing control.
I’m looking at you to bring me back to the life
I’ve once known.
Putting all my hopes in this map that’s said to lead me home.
But I’m stuck.
At a stalemate.
Hindering my growth.
I’m trying my best to do what I can,
because I know,
changing myself is something,
that shouldn’t be depended on you.

  1. I love this one! Not that I’m not fond of your other poems, there are all beautiful in their ways, but this particular one resonates with me so much at the moment! Over the past weeks, I’ve been struggling to get my life & myself back on tracks and I thought it lied upon the shoulders of my friends or my school or my psychologist or far-fetched odds. I figured–as I faced the raw reality of my case–that it lied upon mine. Anyway, I just wanted to say that I find this poem relatable and very well-written!
