Maybe Next Time

I’ve got a strong heart.
And a suicidal mind.
This part of me keeps returning to me.
Having trouble finding any single piece of light,
that could help me grasp a beautiful life.
These cuts weren’t deep enough,
this dose wasn’t enough.
One of these days,
it will be enough.

  1. Don’t despair. Keep on writing! You’ve got the soul of a poet. Thank you for visiting my blog and liking my post! I’m honored. Know you have one new fan! I hope that you have a great week! 🙂

  2. I know what those long dark nights of the soul are like. I do find comfort in the fact that I am not alone and that there are others here who know the color of that pain, the anguish of tender hearts. Some days that fact that I am still breathing must be enough. Know that I see you, that I hear you and that I honor your pain.

  3. Whenever I feel insignificant I think about the universe. Not how small we are in comparison, but how lucky we are to be part of it…and better still, to know that we are part of it.
