A Tad of Red

I don’t want to run away.
But you’ve made me feel so betrayed.
I’m starting to feel as if it’s too late.
To go back to the place we once were.
It’s only been a couple of days since we were just there.
Now that I look at you,
I wonder if you even care.
I guess I’ll have to find my breath elsewhere.

  1. If you believe that we write because someone needs to hear it, know that that person was me today. This sat atop my feed four hours post break-up. Thank you for writing! Also, you should check out my poetry if you get a minute. Best//Mare
