Changes Are Forever Lasting

It doesn’t leave you completely.
Moving in a state of past tense.
Doing the things that keep you reminiscing of before.
Keeping you covered with a sheet of security.
And we keep it as it is.
Unwilling to look for more.
But as time discretely passes us by,
we all learn to;
live more.
experience more.
love more.
Evolving every moment as the clock strikes seconds to seconds.

  1. You’ve emphasized the inevitability of change and our tendency to resist it so eloquently. I especially like these lines:

    “Moving in a state of past tense.
    Doing the things that keep you reminiscing of before.
    Keeping you covered with a sheet of security.
    And we keep it as it is.
    Unwilling to look for more.”
