Mandatory Space

We’re forced to do as they please.
But to say the least.
I’m seriously aching.
Nearly breaking.
Maybe I’ve fallen too fast.
Like every time from my past.
I know we could have last.
I felt your heart.
It brushed against mine.
And I won’t forget the time.
Where our fingers were entwined.

  1. Exactly how I have been feeling for weeks,
but couldn’t find the right words to put it to sleep.
( omg that rhymed, not even on purpose– see your words inspire instant creativity )
    So thank you 🙂

  2. Honestly, the first part of the poem made me curious as to who ‘they’ were specifically through your eyes. The subject of the poem than changed to a relationship which ultimately made me feel like it had not fully matured into it’s full form just yet. I am just curious what that could have looked like.
